Eliana & Juan elopement in an old ruin in Rivière-la-Guerre

Elie and Juan are two incredibly talented artists with kindred spirits. I first connected with them through seeing their work which inspired me greatly. We met in Mile-End, where they decided to settle shortly after the pandemic started.

They shared the renewal of their vows in Rivière-la-guerre, a Scottish ruin in the old village, Godmanchester. Elie wore a beautiful silk crest dress made by the talented designer Amélie and Juan wore an elegant forest green french suit.

A peaceful preparation in soft light took place near large windows with permeating light to delicately trace the silhouette of the two lovers.

We then took our time to wander the dirt path to the village that used to be Rivière-La-Guerre. We enter the countryside where November nature evokes a sense of nostalgia and poetry.

They exchanged their vows and renewed their covenant ceremony in front of Calvin Presbyterian Church. A church where time has battered and nature has taken over. Their vows transcend time as they stand still in a mysterious era.

They allow themselves to be carried away by the poetry of the double bass in a song that they waltz together with. Then they share a meal in a magical and unique setting created by Rebecca.

J-P and I had the privilege of capturing the essence of  that day in photo and film. So, here is the story of Juan Pablo and Eliana.
