Eliana & Juan elopement in an old ruin in Rivière-la-Guerre

Elie and Juan are two incredibly talented artists with kindred spirits. I first connected with them through seeing their work which inspired me greatly. We met in Mile-End, where they decided to settle shortly after the pandemic started.

They shared the renewal of their vows in Rivière-la-guerre, a Scottish ruin in the old village, Godmanchester. Elie wore a beautiful silk crest dress made by the talented designer Amélie and Juan wore an elegant forest green french suit.

A peaceful preparation in soft light took place near large windows with permeating light to delicately trace the silhouette of the two lovers.

We then took our time to wander the dirt path to the village that used to be Rivière-La-Guerre. We enter the countryside where November nature evokes a sense of nostalgia and poetry.

They exchanged their vows and renewed their covenant ceremony in front of Calvin Presbyterian Church. A church where time has battered and nature has taken over. Their vows transcend time as they stand still in a mysterious era.

They allow themselves to be carried away by the poetry of the double bass in a song that they waltz together with. Then they share a meal in a magical and unique setting created by Rebecca.

J-P and I had the privilege of capturing the essence of  that day in photo and film. So, here is the story of Juan Pablo and Eliana.

Alice & Steven elopement in the Old Port of Montreal

Alice and Steven were supposed to get married surrounded by their family from France and Trois-Rivières. However, as you can imagine, the pandemic interrupted their plans not only once, but multiple times. So, they decided to not wait any longer and they got married, intimately, before God and alongside a few witnesses.

Their intimate day, at a glance, was elegant and refined. The wedding preparations took place in a charming chapel where they also exchanged their vows and afterwards, had a creative session in the streets of the Old Port of Montreal. Alice was shining in her bold pink silk dress and Steven was classy in his English suit.

Marysa & Philippe

An elopement on the countryside out of Montreal

It began on a crisp Autumn morning and there was a sense of calm in the air as I entered the Outremont home. I noticed the anticipation and joy on the bride’s smiling face. She held her hands gently on her lap as she sat waiting for her hair and makeup to be completed. The streaming sunlight from the window danced in the room as the sound of love songs gently played in the background. It was a beautiful start to the union of Philippe and Marysa, as they were about to embark on choosing one another till death do them a part.

Once the bride was ready, Philippe sat with a guitar in hand, tucked away in another room, at least for now. He wrote her a song, crafted each line carefully months prior, and he sat waiting to finally see his bride to share what he composed for her. As I captured their first look and watched Marysa walk towards Philippe, I noticed how each lyric was a story of their love. The song enveloped the air and the bride and groom solely focused on each other.

The morning began in Outremont and we then made our way to a hidden gem in Quebec. I captured their elopement amongst swaying trees and the sound of streaming water. We found ourselves deep within what felt like a magical forest to capture their intimate moment of saying “yes” to one another. They both prepared hand written vows and carefully read each line to one another. The stillness of the surrounding nature encompassed their pure love.

The day slowly came to end as the crisp air grew cooler and the dusk enveloped the forest. It was an honour for me to capture this elopement as the day was one of wonder and love.

Marianne & Sébastien

An intimate wedding in Eastern Townsips, Quebec

It was probably Marianne & Sebastien’s story that motivated me the most to create my website, I couldn't wait to share it.
It was at the Benelux of Verdun that we met, around a good beer. I immediately knew I would cherish their story for a long time.
They chose to marry intimately with only a few relatives and best friends at the pastoral inn Auberge La Mara, located near Mont Ham in the Eastern Townships, between The Summit Drive and the Townships Trail

To celebrate each other, and promise to love each other for a long time, after several adventures, dreams and memories already written in their book of life. Two lovers who have become a family, who dream of changing the world together.

Hello, World!
